Stress Management Workshop on April 3!

The Hume Center's South Asian Community Health Promotion Services Program, in conjunction with MySahana, is facilitating a Stress Management workshop at the Fremont Hume Center office on April 3rd, 2014 from 6 to 7:30pm.

Stigmas of mental health often prevent South Asian people from seeking services. This workshop is just one of the many ways that the South Asian program promotes their prevention and early intervention services to the community. Everyone faces life challenges, positive or negative, throughout their lives and these challenges often cause stress. The Stress Management workshop is going to be an interactive workshop that allows the South Asian community to come talk about their stress management skills, to learn what others use to relieve stress and to gain some mindful techniques to overcome stress. The workshop will be co-facilitated by Preet K. Sabharwal who is a practicum student at the Hume Center and Swetha Vajapey who is part of MySahana. This workshop is open to everyone.
