Members of the Golf Tournament Committee, made up of members of the Greater Bay 7-Eleven Franchise Owners Association (GBFOA) and The Hume Center, have set the date for the 2014 Annual Charity Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held Monday, June 9, 2014 at Hiddenbrooke Golf Club.
This tournament is hosted by GBFOA to support The Hume Center. GBFOA has dedicated their Annual Charity Golf Tournament to supporting The Hume Center since 2008.
The Annual Golf Tournament is called "Golf for a Healthy Lifestyle" because the GBFOA Golf Committee wants to reinforce that physical and social activities like golf can help improve physical and mental health. One aspect of the tournament that makes it so exciting to participate in as a player or as a guest at the dinner is the energy and generosity of the vendors that participate in the tournament. The vendors, who represent the majority of the companies that sell products in 7-Eleven stores and those companies that provide support and business tools to each store, generally bring a great variety of their products to sample and enjoy.
Another exciting aspect of the tournament is that the money raised for The Hume Center supports its Training Department. This support has enabled us to expand the number of doctoral-level trainees we supervise each year. Our thirteen licensed psychologists are now able to train over forty trainees each year, which allows us to directly serve over two thousand people annually. The direct impact of your support is multiplied exponentially, as each trainee will take the passion for community mental health and the prevention of psychology suffering that they learn here with them into their careers.
So plan to join us for the tournament, either as a golf tournament player or as a guest at the dinner. To ensure you learn more about the golf tournament tickets and sponsorship opportunities, please join our newsletter list.
