Thank you for your interest in the Portia Bell Hume Behavioral Health and Training Center (The Hume Center). We want to emphasize that we value working with other members of the helping community and feel it is important to collaborate with support systems of those we serve. We welcome referrals from mental health professionals as well as community partners such as Probation Departments, schools, community centers, family members, faith-based centers, and cultural centers. We will strive to develop a relationship with you that goes beyond the referral of one client to one program. We hope to partner with you to create a stronger and healthier community at large, one that honors the existing strengths of the community and its diversity, while assisting in adding supports that will collaboratively work toward preventing psychological suffering. We are happy to offer consultation if you have a client you are considering referring to one of our programs; simply give us a call. Please feel free to check in with us to hear about current support groups, behavioral workshops, Continuing Education workshops, and Help the Helper Programs that may be useful to you and your clients. We are striving to create new and exciting supports for the community and your partnership and referrals offers us the opportunity to do so.
Please consider Joining Our Mailing List: you'll receive our enewsletter Hume Highlights, which is only sent 4 to 6 times a year and contains updates on our services, events, job postings, and trainings.
