The History of the Programs

The Hume Center started psychotherapy services for adults with severe psychiatric disabilities in 1993. This was expanded to include a Partial Hospitalization Program in 1994. In 2001, weekly psychotherapy services were expanded to East County by opening an office in Pittsburg. The Hume Center became a Full Service Partner with Contra Costa Behavioral Health Services in 2013 and contracted to start offering intensive services in 2014 in Community Support Program East. In 2016, Hume Center was awarded the opportunity to expand our FSP services to West County and implemented Community Support Program West.

CSP has been funded by the Mental Health Services Act in partnership with Contra Costa Mental Health.
